Application of GIS in PDA Flood Control System

On the basis of GIS application technology in water resources,realization of real-time information inquiry for water regime,meteorological satellite cloud image,flowing information acquisition and transmission by using PDA and mobile communication methods are expounded,setting up a real-time data inquiry,acquisition and transmission by digital map is proposed.Through effective integration of GIS server,short message inquiry platform PDA client end,flood control drought relief decision-making and commanding personnel and working personnel can achieve real-time data acquisition,transmission and early-warning,which makes work scope for flood control drought relief accomplish enough extension on time and address.
