Design and implementation of secure module in MSN client

The security issues of Instant Messaging(IM) need to be solved urgently.The function of identity authentication,message encryption and message authentication between IM clients can be realized by using the encryption and authentication protocol.A secure module was designed based on a third party open source client.The module could prevent impersonation and preserve confidentiality against MSN server.An encryption add-in based on MSN 8.0 was realized.The add-in has the characteristics of encrypting session,optional algorithms and plug-and-play.
