The application of an improved wavelet-network to fault diagnosis

In order to improve the performance of fault diagnosis systems based on a BP-network,a wavelet-network is used in the fault diagnosis instead of the BP-network.For dealing with the problem of an unknown fault transformed into a known fault,the wavelet-network needs improving,which can check the correctness of diagnosis and find the new fault exactly,thus producing a new type of fault.The result of experiments indicate that the wavelet-network is better than the BP-network in fault diagnosis and that the improved wavelet-network is effective for finding a new type fault.
