Automated Correction for the Distortion of Digital Subtracted Angiography Image based on Morphology and Polynomial
Pu Zhang · Journal of Biomedical Engineering Research · 2008
Digital subtracted angiography(DSA) images of cerebral blood vessels need to be accurately corrected to implement 3D reconstruction. A fully automated method based on morphology and polynomial was developed to correct DSA images. The method includes control points detection based on morphology, generation of correction coefficients based on polynomial and image correction. The results show that the method achieves high accuracy with mean error of 0.12 pixels and satisfies the clinical need. It can be used in distortion correction of DSA images with no artificial intervention automatically.
