Moving Object Detection Algorithm Based on Edge Detection and Gaussian Mixture Model

A moving object detection algorithm(GMM) were put forward.In the algorithm,background model were set up and updated through GMM on the time domain,while using the shadow model based on HSV color space to realize shadow detection,so as to extract the preliminary outline of the moving object.Then canny edge detection operator was used to get the edge figure on the space domain,and perform further operation,to extract the final moving object.The algorithm was applied into the beyond boundary detection(alarm).The experimental and application results demonstrated that this algorithm could detect moving object more effectively.
