Effects of Drip Irrigating Liquid Fertilizer on Growth,Yield and Quality of Sweet Maize

The effects of drip irrigating liquid fertilizer on growth,yield and quality of sweet maize were studied.The results showed that the biomass,plant height,stem diameter,leaf length and width under the drip irrigating liquid fertilizer treatment were significantly higher than that under conventional irrigation and fertilization treatment.Compared to conventional irrigation and fertilization,drip irrigating liquid fertilizer could obviously enhance the nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium content of sweet maize.In terms of yield and quality of sweet maize,the ear weight,ear length,ear diameter,100-grain weight,kernel weight per row,yield and sugar content of sweet maize under drip irrigating liquid fertilizer treatment were increased 15.1%,2.1%,8.5%,12.3%,6.8%,10.0% and 11.7% respectively than that under conventional irrigation and fertilization treatment.In summary,the drip irrigating liquid fertilizer could significantly enhance the growth and accumulation of nutrients for sweet maize,so as to improve the yield and quality of sweet maize.
