Optimization Design of the Image Coding in MPEG System

There are many common points in inter frame of MPEG system. Firstly, the thesis takes an overview of the specialties and new technologies of MPEG- 2. Secondly, the key encoding algorithms in MPEG - 2, including DCT, quantization, run- length encoding and Huffman coding, are presented, and then the algorithms which consume too much time are improved. Thirdly, the Loeffler algo- rithm is improved; In quantization part, a new matrix avoiding division operation is constructed.
