Due that the driving quality is easily impacted by such factors as interviewee and environment, the objective analysisgradually becomes thecrucial supplement to the subjective evaluation. With application of a specific SUV passenger vehicle for example, the subjective evaluation testing, objective indexing system construction, parametric testing and simulation rating are respectively conducted on driving quality under multiple driving conditions.By comparing the objective indexes between benchmark and prototype vehicles under stable acceleration and sudden braking conditions, the rating differences are identified by quantitative analysis. It is indicated from correlation analysis that the subjective evaluation is well coincided with objective simulation rating. In addition, the objective index and computational model can effectively reveal the objective evaluation. Therefore, this approach sets a reference to objective and quantitative description and evaluation on driving quality.
