An effective blind watermarking algorithm of images

With the development of the Internet, the technique of digital watermarking has attracted more and more attention in the field of copyright protection for the digital products. In this paper, a digital watermarking algorithm is presented based on the Blind Source Separation (BSS) algorithm. In the presented algorithm, the binary image viewed as the watermark is embedded into the detailed components in the wavelet domain of the initial images. The embedding position is chosen pseudo-randomly to avoid some malicious attacks. If need be, the watermarking image can be extracted quickly by using the BSS algorithm in the absence of the initial image. The experiments show that the algorithm is an effective and secure one that is robust to the common image processing such as noising, cropping, scaling and compressing.
