Research on NAT Traversing based on UDP Protocol Under Unstructured P2P Network

The wide use of P2P technology provides a more convenient and efficient way for network users to share resources and some multimedia applications,but it has been restricted by NAT.This paper describes the principle of NAT technology,analyzes the infection of NAT for P2P communications,points out the critical factors of NAT traversing.After analyzing a variety of traversing NAT technologies,and with the help of supernodes,an approach to assist UDP packets traversing NAT is put forward.By this means,the nodes hidden behind the different NATs can directly communicate with each other.
