Correlation analysis of authentication Protocols

Jinyuan You · Journal of China Institute of Communications · 2002

This paper proposes the correlation of authentication protocols as a basic secure property. The concept of correlation factor is introduced to help the deep analysis of the property, which is divided into two hierarchies: message correlation and protocol correlation. An attacker model is constructed to demonstrate the way an attacker interacts to protocol environment and the model is formalized in CSP model checking tool-FDR2 (failure divergence refinement 2.28) checker. In the analysis of Needham-Schroeder public key protocol抯 correlation factors, we obtain a satisfactory result.
