Implementation of a high-speed Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer with Embedded 14-bit DAC

By the coordinate rotational digital computer(CORDIC)algorithm,and 14-bit 1GSPS digital-to-analog converter(DAC)with output stage of dual return-to-zero scheme and a novel high speed current switch driver circuit,a high-speed direct digital frequency synthesizer(DDFS)was designed.The DDFS was fabricated in 0.18 um N-well 6M2P CMOS process,it's area is 4.19 mm×3.17 mm,SFDR is 66.08 dB with an output frequency of 201.1 MHz at a clock frequency of 1 GHz.
