Design of a Digital Noise Measurement System

Adopting an ICP microphone and a preamplifier,a digital noise measurement system was designed in which a sound card was used as A/D converter and LabVIEW as software platform.Sound pressure level measurement,octave analysis and FFT analysis could be done through the system.The performance testing result shows that the system has better performance than system using general microphone and has lower cost than special noise measurement equipment.
