Error Analysis in Dual-Aircraft Cooperative Locating

Locating based on angles of arrival measurement is the fundamental method in cooperative locating.The algorithm and accuracy of cross locating were analyzed.Firstlya method for calculating the locational ambiguity region was givenand simulation was made.Thenthe accuracy of cross locating was analyzedthe locating algorithm and error calculating formulas were given.Simulations were made for distribution of target GDOP with different distance between two aircraftsdifferent aircrafts interval error and bearing error.Simulation results show that the locating error increases with the incraese of aircrafts interval error and bearing errorbut as the distance between two aircrafts increaseit will tend to decrease firstly and then to increase.
