Approximate MLE Approach to Find Good Estimates for the Parameters of a Circle in Digital Images

In this paper,there are a skillful combination between statistical approach and approach of image processing,mathematical model of maximum-likelihood estimation(MLE) is given,and proved the approximate convolution-based MLE approach to find good estimates for the parameters of a circle in digital images. Com-pared other way,it is proved that approximate the convolution-based MLE have trait of simple computing and achieve subpixel accuracy.
