Complex contourlet packet transform and its application to SAR image despeckling

Combining the analytic dual-tree complex wavelet packet transform with nonsubsampled directional filter banks,we develop a complex contourlet packet transform and apply it for SAR image despeckling.The proposed transform has good characteristics such as multi-resolution,localization,directionality and anisotropy.Furthermore,it is translation invariant and has more abundant direction components.The experiment result shows that the complex contourlet packet transform can restrain speckle noise in SAR images efficiently,preserve more image edges,and achieve better performance on details and textures expression.
