On "Master" from Whom the Editors Solicit Contributions

WU Hai-xia · Journal of Sichuan University of Science & Engineering · 2010

As for academic journals, especially the ones of universities,it is impossible to improve their quality if there are no solicited contributions.Based on the distinguishable definition of master and common author, this paper analyzes three aspects:difficulty of soliciting contributions, probability of soliciting better contributions and the social benefit of the solicited contributions. Thus this paper concludes that editors should not give up authors and at the same time should spend more time on masters, which enable us to improve the academic popularity of the journal,to help the authors who are full of strength and courage attempting to become mature.
