A traffic detection method based on vision

Three main challenges for video traffic surveillance are illuminance changes,partial occlusion,and shadows on the road.In this paper,we try to solve those challenges with novel approaches.Experiments show that our approach is robust to the above-mentioned challenges.It also has high accuracy in measuring vehicle number /speed and is very fast in execution.
