Data translation between SQL Server 2000 and data sources with different structure

SQL Sever 2000 is a high-performance relation-type database managing system. It has clients/servers systems and powerful Web function in structures, which offers fine expansibility and reliability for using in the enterprises and also can satisfy the needs of large-scale distributed calculation. The data translation service can not only produce the materials warehouse, but also search for many kinds of data sources with different construct. It can translate one kind of data sources into another, facilitating the extract and gather of data sources. It can also support mass data and quick search technique. From the point of working principle and practical application, we introduce the method for translating data between SQL Server 2000 and data source with different construct by the function of Transact SQL Programming and Data Translation Service (DTS).
