A network intrusion detection model based on Rough set theory

A network intrusion detection model based on Rough set theory has been developed.The approach mines detection rules from network connection data.With rough set theory and genetic algorithms.The result of the experiment shows that this model has high detection rate and low false reject rate in detecting DoS and probe attacks,and the rough sets theory is powerful in complex network connection data as well as effective in network attack detection.
