Interpretation of the Disappearance of Superiority Effects

The Minimalist Phase Theory cannot account for the disappearance of superiority effects in multiple wh-questions.Following the Attract Closest Principle and in accordance with Pesetsky et al's assumption that C contains a case feature,this article holds that C either attracts the closest wh-phrase or matches a wh-phrase in terms of features.Through the selective operation,the disappearance of superiority effects in multiple wh-questions can be thus explained.
