The application of wavelet transform in screw thread edge detection

Screw thread Edge is the most important character in screw thread detection; the quality of edge detection will influence the detection precision directly. Based on the screw thread’s character, noise reduction and edge processing is realized with wavelet transform. The result is obviously better than other traditional edge detection operators. It has a great meaning in the improvement of screw thread detection.
