A Method of Signs Recognition Based on Invariant Moments and Wavelet Neural Network

Real-time traffic recognition requires invariance in translation, rotation and proportional trans-formation higher cognition accuracy. All these can be done well in the way of capturing the characteristics of the traffic sign with (invariant) moment first and then distinguishing them through wavelet neural (network). Compared with popular BP neural network, the wavelet neural network is of much more practical value in self-traffic-navigation (because) of its high speed and precision.
