Design of a Novel UWB and Small Step Frequency Synthesizer

A method for designing a frequency synthesizer with ultra wide band(UWB),small step and low spur is introduced by adopting the technique of DDS,PLL and quadrature modulation.Compared with the traditional mixing frequency PLL technique,this method of quadrature modulation has the advantages of simple scheme,simple circuit,wider output bandwidth and small in size.In addition,a novel frequency synthesizer with UWB and low spur based on AD8349 is presented.The design is applied in projects,and the testing results can meet the requirements well.
