Two Major Transformations of Copyright Protection Mechanism in the Internet Era

In the internet era,copyright protection system is under reconstruction. This article explores two major transformations of copyright protection in digital era. Firstly,for the issue of copyright infringement liability,a notice-based liability standard has evolved,as a new development from the classic principle of fault liability. This issue has commonly discussed as indirect liability system of internet service provider (ISP). This paper tries to study it from another perspective,i.e.,the transformation of liability standard. Secondly,there is a trend that the central aspect of copyright is evolving from copying right to dissemination right. This issue is underestimated by academia,and this article tries to demonstrate that such a transformation is happening. In the digital world,to control dissemination has much more meanings than to control copying.
