Analysis on Automatic Construction of Topological Relation for City Road Network and Its Shortest Route Based on GIS

The city road network in Urumqi city was built based on MapInfo with Arc-Node data model of road network.The design of automatic chain scission and error handing about crossover point of road network was completed.Thereby,the automatic construction of topological structure for city road network and the search of the shortest route were achieved based on GIS(MapInfo).The city road network was verified to be practical.
