A PROTOTYPE OF CELL CONTROL PLATFORM BASED ON OBJECT-ORIENTED TECHNOLOGY
Cims La · Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems · 1996
Cell control plays an important rule in the hierarchical control model of CIMS.A shop floor typically consists of one or more cells. These cells, according to the job plans and production goals coming from the higher level, coordinate and control the equipment within each cell. This kind of control is realtime and loop-closed.Because of the difference and varieties of the manufacturing factories, most of the previous cell control software are designed proprietarily for their cases,They have little generality, reusability and maintain- ability. This paper proposes a method of using Object-Oriented Technolgy to design a prototype of cell control platform. The framework and implemention procedures are given. The system includes five modules:Man Machine Graphical Interface,Job Scheduling, Cell Monitoring,Operation Simulation and Real Time DataBase. This prototype system can be adapted for use in a wide range.Users can design their own cell controller on the platform easily.
