Analysis of lipsticks by Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer

Objective To establish a sensitive,accurate,non-destructive method for determining lipsticks.Methods With Fourier transform of infrared spectroscopy and smart performance sampling,202 lipsticks from different manufacturing places,different trademark and different models of the same trademark,were characterized.Results According to different absorption peaks of infrared spectra,we may differentiate lipsticks.Conclusion This method does not destruct samples under inspect,has good repeatability,therefore can be used to characterize lipsticks from crime scene.
