Electronic system for long-distance photon coincidence in free-space quantum teleportation

Yang Dong · 2007

For the two-photon quantum teleportation project in free space,an electronic system for photon coincidence over long-distance was designed, and the minimum coincident time window of the system was about 2 ns.The system consists of modules for coder, decoder, delay, high voltage driver, coincidence and counter, etc. In the system, the classic information and quantum information were coupled and sent to another point through free space, where the entangled photons were figured out by on-line coincidence. The coder put the time tag information and the channel information in the Alice end's Bell state measurement together.Parity check and Haming code was used to transform the channel information to reduce the event's loss rate and error rate. The decoder can separate the time tag information and the channel information to perform corresponding operations. The experiment of two-photon quantum teleportation over a distance of 800 meters has been completed, results show the feasibility of using this system for long-distance experiments.
