Effect of Gas in the Sand-mudstone Layer on Compensated Neutron Log

In order to identify the effect of the gas on in sand-mudstone layer compensated neutron logging,numerical simulation is made for compensated neutron log(CNL) by Monte Carlo method.The effect of the gas saturation on CNL log in sand-mudstone layer sand-stone layer is researched,from which excavation effect equation in sand-stone layer and neutron-density crossplot are given.
