Progress on Research of Cognitive Inhibition in Direct Forgetting Effect

With the popularization of research of cognitive inhibition,direct forgetting effect(DFE),as the main measure of cog- nitive inhibition,has been widely and deeply studied.ln this paper,the research models of DFE have been introduced.It has been dis- cussed whether the internal mechanism of DFE is selective rehearsal or cognitive inhibition,on the basis of which,the development of in- dividual inhibitory ability and the research advances of its application have been also reviewed,meanwhile,pointing out some problems in the present researches.
