Summary of the Honeynet and Entrapment Defense Technology

This paper provides an examination of an emerging class of security mechanisms often referred to as networked trap and entrapment, honeypot or honeynet, gives an overview of the various technologies and application mode, analyses their suitability within various network environments, discusses the networked trap and entrapment systems advantages and disadvantages, including the outlook of the future.
