Fast Algorithm of Signal Reconstruction from Modulus Maxima of the Wavelet Transform

The modulus maxima of wavelet transform on different levels contain important information of signals,so it is meaningful to probe how to reconstruct wavelet coefficients form the modulus maxima.A fast algorithm based on Hermite interpolation polynomial for reconstructing signal from the wavelet transform maxima is proposed in the paper.Compared with the classical alternating projection algorithm introduced by Mallat,the numerical experiments show that the fast algorithm is simpler,more efficient,and it is practical for signal reconstruction.
