Design of Carrier Tracking Loop Based on FLL + PLL

It is difficult to achieve carrier tracking under the circumstances of high dynamic. A new method of carrier tracking combining FLL with PLL is presented. The dynamics of the signal can be removed by FLL, and the phase can be tracked precisely by PLL. Through analyzing the effect of thermal noise and dynamic on carrier tracking loop, optimal bandwidth can be designed. Theory analysis and simulation results show that this method could realize the carrier tracking precisely.
