An Analysis of Competitive Spectrum Sharing Based on Prisoners' Dilemma in Cognitive Radios

An analysis is presented for the competitive spectrum sharing based on the prisoners' dilemma model in Cognitive Radios(CRs).Selfish and rational CR users greedily extend their own spectrum space in order to maximize their own rates by means of FDM or IWF,which leads to Nash equilibrium. We compare the two users' rate payoff matrix and derive the relation between SNR and interference gain through the definition of prisoners' dilemma. Finally we simulate and analyze the performance of competitive spectrum sharing under this condition.
