Current situation of pipe marking by China steel pipe enterprise briefly analyzed.The bar code technology has been developed in order to solve problem of pipe No.repeating and wrong pipe number in pipe manufacturing during production.Combining computer information control system of pipe manufacturer,the bar code technology is successfully applied into pipe production process and realizes automatic collection and input of pipe number and other information for whole production process,and increases working efficiency while reduces production cost.
