A Direct Range Method for Airborne Based on Phase Shift Measuring Only

The relationship between phase shift and Doppler shift can be obtained by combining the phase-distance equation and Doppler shift,and by using the complementary relation between the angle of arrival and the angle of advance.On this basis,the formula detecting the radial acceleration and the tangential velocity based on phase shift measuring can be derived.Thus,the airborne direct range formula can be presented only on the basis of phase shift detection.The new ranging method is not only simple in testing,but is also able to realize real-time detection without the airborne station moving constantly in a straight line.
