Adaptive MPEG4 rate control in self-similar wireless network environment

Through the study of MPEG4 media flow-rate control on UDP in wireless enviroment and relevant subjects such as self-similar network,an innovative way to deal with the problem of rate convergence when the network environment is steady is presented.Referring to the adaptive filter algorithm in clssic communication theory,and proven by real-time on site experiments,it can be seen that a con-siderable improvement in multimedia rate control is achieved,hence the current available band width can be traced,with faster response and better accuracy.Specially,when network goes steady,media rate flunctuation becomes convergent.
