Method of IP Content Extraction Based on GS over DVB-S2

General transmission streams are introduced in the second generation of digital video broadcasting-satellite( DVB-S2) standard in response to the increasing IP traffic for digital satellite broadcasting channels. This paper analyzes thoroughly the transmission mode and characteristics of IP data based on the GS over DVB-S2,and proposes a multi-pattern matching method to extract the IP content. According to the key characteristic strings and their position information,the headers of the basedband frames encapsulating continuous generic streams are identified and the IP content is extracted. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by practical experiments.
