On anti-butterfly effect

NI Yin-lin · Journal of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force Academy · 2003

A minor factor is sure to produce some effect on a system. However whether it will produce the butterfly effect or not depends on the phases or stages of the development, for each system is a closed one and regulates itself. When it functions well, a system can assimilate an unfavorable factor. In general, a minor factor is viewed as an accidental one. Yet any factor can be regarded as both accidental and certain. Accidentalness and certainty are relative. They just depend on a system or on the man's knowledge. A minor factor is sure to produce some effect on a system though the result of the effect varies from a system to another.
