Methodology of the Establishment of Database Using Object Oriented Approach

The methodology of the establishment of database by using object oriented approach is presented in this paper. The tendency of database development from relational to object oriented is analyzed, and the characteristics of the object oriented approach are discussed also. Taking STEP/EXPRESS as a development tool, a model of an auto and its parts are established. The mechanism of the establishment of an object oriented detabase and co operation with Visual C ++ are discussed in order to show the possibility and feasibility of developing the framework for an object oriented database.
