THE TRAFFIC WAVES UNDER TRAFFIC LIGHTS' CONTROL

A model of cellular automata (CA) is used to simulate a traffic network with one main stem and multi laterals.Because of the effect of traffic lights,the regular traffic waves in the main stem,which spread backward,will be seen.The wavelength of the traffic waves,which spread backward with the speed of the maximum micro-speed of the vehicles,equals to the cycle of the traffic lightsT (no dimension).
