Design of fall detection system for elderly based on the new type of MEMS sensor

This paper designs a fall detection system for elderly based on MPU6050,a new type of MEMS sensor.Using two integrated coaxial sensors,the acceleration sensor and the angular velocity sensor,the system can detect human behavior and attitude.By pre-configured threshold,the system may analyze the degree of change of angular velocity and acceleration,and to determine,still according to the human body posture affter a final judgment.The experiments show that the new sensor with the novel algorithm can obtain higher detection accuracy.
