Primary-backups mechanism for fault-tolerant COTS server

The primary-backups mechanism for fault-tolerant COTS server is studied systematically.Firstly,a system model of fault-tolerant COTS server and a general primary-backups mechanism are proposed based on the system model.Then four important algorithms are designed and analyzed in the general primary-backups mechanism: distributed failure diagnosis algorithm,distributed election algorithm,distributed consistency control algorithm,and server/client coordination algorithm.
