A Novel Scheme of STBC Combined with QAM for High-Data-Rate Wireless Communications
Chao Wang · Systems engineering and electronics · 2003
The space-time block coding (STBC), as an important member of the space-time coding family, has recently been developed to take advantage of the substantial capacity increases which are available in MIMO wireless communication systems by means of transmit diversity and proper signal processing at receiver and has been attracting more and more attention. After the introduction of space-time coding followed by the system model, the encoding and decoding algorithms for STBC are illustrated by the C-2. Then a novel scheme of STBC combined with QAM for high-data-rate wireless communications is put forward. Finally, simulation results of various STBC under 16-QAM constellation modulation are figured out and the validity of the scheme is proved.
