The Hydrology Information Acquisition System of Irrigation District Based on GPRS and WEB

The transmission principle of wireless network with Group Packer Radio Service(GPRS) and its applications in hydrological information acquisition system were briefly introduced.The system is constructed based on C/S mode with Web access,which make the system reliable and economical.The decentralized hydrology information acquisition system is composed through using GPRS and WEB techniques,which can provide large quantity of real-time data for the GIS system and the irrigation decision support system of the irrigation district.It is very important for improving the water-saving efficiency.The system has been implemented in Baoying Irrigation District of Jiangsu Province.
