Prediction-Processing for Motion-Compensated Frame Difference Images

A predictor was employed for a MCFD image to reduce the inherent spatial correlation in a MCFD image, and the predicion processed MCFD image is smoother than original one. This can improve the efficiency of transform coding largely. The experimental results show that DCT transform is more efficient for predicion processed MCFD images than original ones.
