Data Processing in Random Sampling Techniques

Yulin Zhang · Journal of Agricultural Mechanization Research · 2003

Sampling techniques are widely used in information processing, where analogue signals are sampled and quantized to digital signals which are suitable to computer processing. The frequency of sampling pulse must be larger than twice of the highest frequency of the signal to avoid the distortion of the signal. The random sampling technique is proposed to avoid the difficulty faced by high frequency signals, which employ a low frequency pulse sequence to sample high frequency signals. The features of original signal can be calculated by the statistics of a large amount of sampled values.
