Comparison of Several Time Delay Estimation Algorithms for TDOA

The localization method based on time difference of arrival(TDOA)has less computation load and higher location accuracy among existing methods based on microphone array.Meantime,it also tends to achieve real time system and it is a common method for sound source localization today.The most important part for this way is taking the(TDE),whose accuracy directly determines whether the location is correct.This paper describes several algorithms of time delay estimation for(TDOA)based on microphone array,and provides a part of simulation results corresponding to each algorithm,and analyzes the advantages and the disadvantages for each algorithm.Meantime,it also points out the problem which needs to be studied further.
