Contour Line Extraction Algorithm Based on Region Growing

An improved contour line extraction algorithm based on grid sequence is presented in this paper.It is named as the contour line extraction algorithm based on region growing.The region growing searching method is used to speed up boundary grids searching speed whereby avoiding searching all of the grids.The experiment results show that this algorithm obviously improve the efficiency of the grid sequence and that the contour line obtained is more favourable to the 3D reconstruction.
